How should we respond if we receive some type of solicitation, e.g. someone offering to be a speaker?


In general, if we did not ask for the solicited services or products, then we should simply ignore the request and not respond. Using the Help Desk, assign the message as Spam.


We should not pass the buck to our clubs unless we believe that the offered services or products are of significant value to them. If they are, then the respective Director should bring the parties together.


Sometimes we are approached for worthwhile causes and may reply along the lines of

PROBUS Canada does not distribute unsolicited third party information to its member clubs.
